Born in Nogueira, Viana do Castelo, the artist has developed a career deeply connected to painting and to celebrating the landscapes and traditions of the Minho region. Following a career in education, she dedicated herself exclusively to art from 2011 onwards, further refining her artistic practice in the studio of painter Rui Pinto and becoming involved in projects such as Atelier Arte Matriz and the Girarte collective.
In this exhibition on display at Flôr de Sal by The Editory, leisure boats serve as the starting point for a visual exploration of leisure, freedom and our emotional connection with the sea and rivers. More than simple vessels, they emerge as symbols of escape, discovery and contemplation, evoking the tranquillity of unhurried navigation and the pleasure of exploring new horizons.
Through the forms, colours and atmosphere of her works, the artist transports visitors to a world where water, light and movement exist in harmonious dialogue. Bridging tradition and contemporaneity, this exhibition celebrates the timeless fascination with boats and the sense of freedom they represent.
