On May 27th, from 5:00 PM to 6:30 PM, The Editory Riverside Hotel will host a Creative Arts Workshop, part of the Beyond project:an immersive experience where art is born not from the mind, but from the rhythm of the heart.
This gathering invites participants to unleash their artistic expression through exercises that stimulate intuition, emotion, and inner connection, exploring creative techniques in a relaxed and inspiring atmosphere. The activity will take place across the Restaurante & Bar Impulso and the Sala Nobre, creating a fluid environment for experimentation and sharing.
More than just a workshop, this initiative offers a moment of creative pause, where each artistic gesture becomes an extension of feeling — reinforcing Beyond’s commitment to valuing individual expression and contemporary culture.

Tile Painting Workshop
On June 12th, from 5:00 PM to 6:30 PM, as part of the Beyond project, The Editory Riverside Hotel will host a Tile Painting Workshop: a creative experience that invites participants to explore one of the most iconic artistic expressions of Portuguese culture.
In a relaxed setting, between the Restaurante & Bar Impulso and the Sala Nobre, participants will be guided through the process of designing and painting their own tiles, reinterpreting this tradition with a contemporary perspective. The workshop will be conducted in English, welcoming international guests and encouraging cultural exchange.
An opportunity to immerse yourself in the art of azulejos and take home a unique, handmade piece. in yet another initiative that transforms the hotel’s spaces into stages of expression and creativity.

National Painters’ Gathering and Talks
On June 26th, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, The Editory Riverside Hotel will host another initiative of the Beyond: a National Painters’ Gathering, dedicated to celebrating contemporary Portuguese art.
Throughout the afternoon, between the Restaurante & Bar Impulso and the Sala Nobre, the public will be invited to engage closely with the work of several national artists through an exhibition of diverse artworks and a talk that fosters dialogue between creators and visitors. The event will offer moments of reflection on artistic practices, individual journeys, and the many forms of expression that shape today’s painting scene in Portugal.

On July 8th at 5:00 PM, The Editory Riverside Hotel will host a special moment celebrating hospitality with the workshop “The Art of Serving Well” : an initiative designed to highlight the central role of the host in the guest experience.
This gathering will also mark the official launch of the book “The Model Host in Hospitality”, a work that brings together practices, principles, and inspirations on the art of serving, offering a contemporary and human-centered perspective on the act of welcoming. The book presents a refined approach to the role of the hospitality professional as a key figure in creating memorable and authentic experiences.

Singing Moments: A Jazz Talk Show was an exclusive session that blended music and conversation in an intimate and engaging atmosphere. In this special edition, the guest was Diogo Tomás, a Portuguese jazz singer deeply influenced by Brazilian Popular Music (MPB) and film soundtracks.
Throughout the session, Diogo Tomás shared his artistic journey, inspirations, and creative process, interweaving moments of conversation with live performances. With his unique voice and innovative approach to jazz and vocal improvisation, he created a one-of-a-kind experience where music became the thread connecting stories and emotions.
It was a memorable opportunity for jazz lovers and for anyone who appreciates the magic of live music in a close and relaxed setting.

Dance Performance "LOST" - BALLETEATRO
The Editory Artist Hotel hosted the performance LOST, a creation and interpretation by dancer Ana Filipa Ferreira, in collaboration with Balleteatro. This moment marked the launch of the project in the Porto units, signaling the beginning of a new cultural initiative focused on contemporary performing arts.
LOST was a sensory experience that explored vulnerability, the unknown, and the search for identity in a constantly changing world. Through movement, the artist guided the audience on an emotional journey, where body and space merged to give voice to states of transition and transformation.

Dance Performance "LA FORZA DI UN SOSPIRO" - BALLETEATRO
The Editory Boulevard Hotel hosted the contemporary dance performance LA FORZA DI UN SOSPIRO, a creation, interpretation, and costume design by Tiago Pinho, in collaboration with Balleteatro.
This intense and poetic piece explored strength and fragility in a single gesture. Inspired by the fleeting nature of a sigh, the performance challenged the limits of the moving body, creating a dynamic tension between balance and fall, impulse and stillness.
It was a unique experience of contemporary dance, captivating and surprising the audience with its expressiveness and emotional depth.

Storytelling Art Tour Hotel | Pedro Fernandes
The Editory Riverside Hotel, located on the banks of the Tejo River and housed within the emblematic Santa Apolónia station: one of the oldest railway stations in Portugal, was the setting for a guided tour led by Pedro Fernandes.
During the walk, participants were invited to discover the history and art present in the hotel, with a special focus on the work of photographer Jordi Llorella. His exhibition revealed a sensitive and poetic view of Portugal’s train stations and halts, featuring unique pieces such as cardboard suitcases turned into cameras, torn passport-style photos of emigrants, and images captured throughout the artist’s journey across the country.
The visit also offered the opportunity to explore the hotel’s grand building, marked by Classical Renaissance-style architecture and an interior design distinguished by its elegance and meticulous attention to detail. An immersive experience that evoked memories linked to emigration, underlining the deep connection between travel, identity, and cultural heritage.

Literary Dialogues: Exhibition of Author Editions
On May 2nd, between 2:00 PM and 6:30 PM, the Sala Nobre at The Editory Riverside Hotel hosted another inspiring event as part of the Beyond project – a literary session titled “Literary Dialogues”.
Throughout the afternoon, several authors came together to share what drives them: their passion for writing. In an intimate and welcoming atmosphere, each participant had the opportunity to read excerpts from their works, talk about their literary journey, and share experiences with the audience.
More than just a book presentation, it was a space for encounter and exchange: where words became a starting point for genuine conversations about creativity, identity, memory, and inspiration.
The diversity of voices and styles enriched the session, highlighting the spirit of Beyond: to build bridges between art, community, and hospitality.
